the second drop of our biggest season yet

We launched our knitwear category earlier this year, and we continue to explore archival silhouettes with new materials and shapes. For autumn, we’re delivering our best collection of knitwear yet.

In the late 1980s, there was a move toward baggier and bolder knitwear silhouettes. By the early 1990s, fashion moved towards minimalism, and knitwear reflected this change. Neutral colours like black, beige, grey, and white became more popular, as did simpler, cleaner silhouettes.

We’ve leant on these influences to design a knitwear pack that provides a contemporary take on these archival influences.

The 1990s shifted towards more minimalist, grunge, and experimental fashion, which allowed for more subtle design elements like ombré to flourish. The decade saw a greater focus on muted tones, natural colour palettes, and texture play. Ombré’s soft gradient effect fits perfectly with these styles, especially in knitwear, where transitioning hues add depth without being too loud.

Our ombré pack covers a crewneck in two colour ways and a cardigan. The crew necks are made from a multi-tonal wool blend yarn that we cut into our signature cropped and boxy fit knit.

We’ve always said that it’s really hard to find a decent fit when buying knitwear —it’s often too long in the body and doesn’t feel very contemporary. When we design our knitwear, we nail the fit first before moving on to the fabrics.

The same fabric is also used on our ombré cardigan, which has a darker rib detail to it you can see above.

Our collarless knitted cardigan takes inspiration from bombers and knitwear alike, focusing on a modern fusion of the two. We’ve knitted this one in a new viscose blend that has stretch but also retains its shape well. It’s one of those products where we weren’t 100% behind it when we were designing it and drawing it up, but when we started sampling it and trying it on, the whole team got behind it. It’s a belter.

DROP TWO - OUTERWEAR LB-39 (1).jpg__PID:1bdb98bf-a296-48ac-b63a-3eaa2feae4b4

The Monogram is one of our feature designs for AW24. It's a premium logo that will adorn many more detailed products this season. For this drop, we’ve knitted the monogram into a mohair wool crew neck in two colourways. These are on the same block-shaped crewneck that we dropped earlier this season - cropped and boxy with expert detailing. More on the monogram to come.

Rounding out this knitwear pack for drop two of Autumn/Winter are a knitted cardigan and a button-knitted vest. These two use the same yarn, a bulk cotton blend that’s piped in execution with front pocket logo detailing.

The more traditional cardigan in arctic blue is a revisit of our bestselling OG cardigan block that we launched last year. It features a double pocket front and colon brand detailing on the back.

On the button-knitted vest, we use faux pearl detailing for the buttons, giving it a more 90s-inspired look to match the vest styling. We've also got our script brand detailing above the left pocket.

Our knitwear pack launches as part of autumn:winter drop two on 31.10.24.
