Our archive:sale will be a one day only event and will take place on Saturday 22nd August at Protein Studios, London.
Will I need a ticket?
No tickets are needed. Just turn up and join the queue.
What time will it be happening?
Doors will open at 10:00am, but we recommend arriving early for the best chance of getting your hands on the best pieces. We’ll be open until 7:00pm.
Where will the archive:sale take place?
The event will take place at:
Protein Studios, 31 New Inn Yard, London, EC2A 3EY.
The venue is within walking distance of Old Street, Liverpool Street and Shoreditch High Street stations.
Why is this sale happening?
Over the past couple of years, as we’ve developed our product range, we’ve accumulated hundreds of samples from different manufacturers that haven’t quite been right to photograph or release to the public. This could be for minor reasons, such as the size or placement of a logo, a wash that wasn’t quite right, or a fit that differed slightly from what we expected.
The majority of these pieces will be 1-of-1 samples, alongside a selection of mainline products, still with their original tags, all available at heavily discounted prices.
What items can we expect to find?
There will be a wide selection of products across all categories, with pieces available in a range of sizes. Everything will be heavily discounted and clearly organised by category to make it as easy as possible to shop.
There may also be a full size run of the exclusive, sold-out Paris T-Shirt...
Will you have my size?
We’ll have products ranging from XS - XXL. All available sizes will be hung on the shop floor, and there will be no additional or spare sizes kept in a stockroom, so what you see is what’s available.
Can I return items from the archive?
No. All archive purchases are final sale and will be sold on an ‘as seen’ basis.There will be mirrors throughout the venue so you can check the fit before purchasing.
What payment methods will be accepted?
We will accept all debit/credit card payments, apple pay and cash.
I’ve never shopped with about:blank before. What size should I go for?
Our full size guides are available online and will give you a good indication of how our garments fit. There will also be mirrors throughout the venue, so you’ll be able to check the fit before making a purchase.
Will I have to queue for 6 hours to get inside like last time?
We really don’t want that to happen again. This time, we’ve hired Protein Studios’ largest space at just under 7,000 sq ft, and we’ll have all products hung on the shop floor. This means we won’t need to constantly restock or search for sizes in a stockroom. We’ve also increased the number of staff working across the event.Our goal is to let as many people in as possible without overcrowding the venue, helping to keep queues moving and minimise waiting times.
Will there be any other surprises?
We’ll have live DJ sets throughout the day, alongside free refreshments provided by Can O Water and PEAK Drinks.
